Do You Need to Be Home for a Lawn Application? (And What to Do After)

Being home isn’t usually required

As long as we can reach the areas being treated — and any gates are unlocked — most applications can be done while you are away. If a service needs access you would normally keep locked, we will coordinate that with you ahead of time.

A few things that help before a visit

Unlock gates, pick up toys, hoses, and pet items from the lawn, and let us know about anything we should work around — a vegetable garden, a sensitive landscape bed, or a pet area. Mowing a day or two before (not right after) also helps.

What to do after

For spray applications, keep pets and kids off the grass until it has fully dried. For granular products, the guidance is to water them in, then let the lawn dry before normal use. We will tell you the specific timing for whatever we applied.

You’ll know what was done

After each visit we leave information on what was applied and any steps to follow, so you are never guessing. If you have questions after a service, you can always call us.
